    I love this style of feeler gauge for motorcycles especially. It has this ideal taper to it (see pictures above). Auto engines have bigger buckets and shims than motorcycles and hence a wider auto feeler blade. That size works fine on larger valve shim seats but will not fit into the smaller spaces on motorcycles.
