Rimac Valve Spring Tester 1000 Lbs w/Calibration Spring & Dial Indicator Mount

This Rimac valve spring tester can test open pressure and seat pressure up to 1000 pounds in 5 pound increments.
The tester was used very little, only for demonstrating valve spring pressure testing in a training program.
It comes with the calibration spring and dial indicator mount. The dial indicator currently installed will be included in the box, but it sticks and will need to be repaired or replaced. You will also need to get a tip extension depending upon the height of the valve springs you are testing.
There is a threaded hole on the upper part of the tester that is intended for a set screw but the threads in the hole appear to be stripped and the set screw is missing. You would use the set screw to lock down the tester when transporting the unit. The idea is to close the tester completely, putting a small amount of pressure on it, then tighten the set screw. This keeps it from rattling around in the race trailer as you head down the road. The stripped hole could be repaired fairly easily in various ways (tig weld and tap, drill oversize and tap, or install a thread insert for example). The lack of set screw has no impact on the function of the unit. In fact I noticed that the current design BB1000 sold by Proform has eliminated the set screw completely.
The dial indicator bracket came with the blue cylindrical spacer block that you would put in the tester, then put a small amount of pressure on it before locking down the set screw when ready to transport the unit. Without the spacer block you would have to remove the dial indicator each time you lock down the unit because the indicator would bottom out before the tester was completely closed.
You have to bolt the tester down to a bench to use it.
