    Description

This is a rare double-sided matte painting by master matte artist Albert Whitlock.  One side includes a screen-used matte painting from the television series "The Virginian" (1968).  The other side includes a screen-used matte painting from the film "Skullduggery" (1970) starring Burt Reynolds and Susan Clark.  These paintings share a 57.5" x 34.5" sheet of glass in a pine frame that is located in Los Angeles, California.
"The Virginian" (1968).  This painting established a Wyoming ranch visited by Trampas (played by Doug McClure) for the episode ‘The Storm Gate’ (1968).  In best Whitlock fashion, the scene featured two cloud splits from right-to-left.  The live-action set was known as both the “Southern Mansion” and the “Dabney House” on the backlot.
"Skullduggery" (1970).  This matte painting established a view of a small village inside a crater in New Guinea.  Burt Reynolds (as Douglas Temple) and Susan Clark (as Dr. Sybil Greame) appeared in the live-action area.
