  • Condition: This carved antique panel is from France and it dates to the late 1800's. It is solid oak stained to a warm dark (almost black) color. The carving is very deep and three-dimensional, notice the detail in the figures. This panel was originally the center door in a large French buffet. It is in very good antique condition with only minor scratches and a few old inactive woodworm holes. Note that the end of the man's sword is missing as well (see photos). Dimensions: 30" tall, 17.5" wide, 1.5" thick.

    This
    carved antique panel is from France and it dates to the late 1800's.  It is solid oak stained to a warm dark (almost black) color.  The carving is very deep and three-dimensional, notice the detail in the figures.  This panel was originally the center door in a large French buffet.  It is in very good antique condition with only minor scratches and a few old inactive woodworm holes.  Note that the end of the man's sword is missing as well (see photos).
